ANNUAL MEETING DECEMBER 17 2009 The meeting was called to order at 7:35 PM with President Allan Haggith presiding. Regets were recived frm RWBro Jack Shaver VWBro's Emil Fritzer, Ben Mannen and Harold McComb and WBro's Jerry Buryta and Stephen Clarke. The minutes of the Annual Meeting held December 18 2008 were read and having no errors or emmisions were adopted as read by President Allan Haggith. It was moved by RWBro Bill Topp and second by WBro Damon Smith that the auditors report be accepted as read. CARRIED COMMITEE REPORTS It was moved by RWBro Ron Stinson and second by WBro Fred Sebring that the treasurers report be accepted as read. CARRIED Membership and Regalia---A report by membership and regalia committeee chairman , VWBro Jim Telford was read and is attached. Masonic Education---RWBro Bill Topp reported that several lodges have made use of the guest speakers made available from the Association and that these speakers are still available for Masonic Ecucation. Social---WBro Allan Durnford reported a profit of $111.22 for the year. MasoniChip----WBro Bill Martin reported that 7 lodges held MasoniChip programs throughout the year and that over 700 children were processed. He also noted that there have been over 1400 processed so far in Brant District. The 1000th child was processed when Brant 45 held their annual program in July. It was moved by WBro Bill Martin and second by RWBro Bill Topp that the applications to the Association for reimbersment for processing be held untill all MasoniChip programs for 2010 are over so that reimbersment will be of equal amounts for for all if the project account is to run out of money. CARRIED History---RWBro Bill Clarke reported that the District History is now on the Web Site and that he is continuing to update. District Lodge Communication---RWBro Dan Dawson reported that he is continuing to take messages from the Association meetings to the Lodges of the District. DDGM----RWBro Don Elliott gave a detailed report as to his involvment to date. The report is attached. President Allan Haggith read a letter of appreciation from Wilson Lodge 113 for the Associations involvment with their 150th anniversary. NEW BUSINESS: WBro Bob Bailey voiced his concern about the cost of the annual asessment to the lodges and thought that a per member asessment would be more fair to the lodges with small memberships. It was moved by RWBro Jack Herron and second by WBro Denis Paquette that this be looked at at the next executive meeting. CARRIED After reading the new proposed qualifications for members to be elected to the position of DDGM RWBro Jack Herron moved and RWBro Bill Topp second that they be adopted as written , read and brought forward to the floor. After much discussion both for and against the vote was 22 for and 15 against. CARRIED Nominations for DDGM for the next 5 years were: 2010-2011 WBro Bill Harris 2011-2012 WBro Allan Haggith 2012-2013 VWBro Larry Azzarpodi 2013-2014 WBro Albert Devereaux 2014-2015 Open Election The 5 mentoring PDDGM'S are RWBro's Steve DeKruyf , Randy Hunt , Bill Topp , Jack Herron and Dan Dawson. The results of the election of officers for 2010 were as follows: President WBro Allan Haggith 1st Vice President WBro Denis Paquette 2nd Vice President WBro Albert Devereaux Secretary VWBro Fred Topp Treasurer RWBro Ron Stinson RWBro Bill Topp and WBro Bill Martin were appointed as auditors for 2010 WBro Jack Osborne mentioned that if anything should happen to him , his family has been instructed that all pictures from the many District events he has on file are to be given to the Association. RWBro Bob Shoup recomended that the following be brought up at the next executive meeting: --that there be 4 membership meetings per year --that the SW also be granted a complimentary membership President Allan Haggith announced that the next executive meeting will be held January 21 2010 @ 7:30 PM at the Onondaga Lodge hall. The meeting was adjourned by President Allan Haggith at 9:45 PM
